Fashion Design Program

California College of the Art's goal is to graduate fashion designers of daring individuality and originality, who will contribute to fashion as an aspect of modern art and culture as they participate in the global fashion industry.

Graduates have been accepted for internships at such major companies as the Gap, Alexander McQueen, Vogue, Target, Neiman Marcus, Nike, and ZERO and have been hired as designers for Levi Strauss & Company, BCBG Max Azaria, and Gymboree, Inc. Several fashion design alumni enjoy successful careers as freelance designers or have founded their own companies.

As a member of the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA), the Fashion Design Program participates in CFDA's scholarship, design initiative programs, and Best of School award. The Fashion Design Program is now one of only 15 leading fashion programs in the country privileged to be part of one of the most important organizations in the fashion industry.
